The ideas competition is organised by the Municipality of Trento with the aim to incentivize a continuous engagement of citizens and stakeholders in the various activities, as a first step towards delivering new digitalized transportation and mobility services and enhancing the quality of those already available.
The question proposed to the citizens is: “How would you improve mobility in your city? Think about some ideas or digital services (apps) that could help improve transport, traffic, parking and sustainable mobility in the city of Trento.”
This competition seeks to improve the situation or contribute to create new digital services to solve existing problems, and is structured in three phases, going from August 2017 to March 2018.
In the first phase citizens report their needs. This is done by using the WeLive platform https://dev.welive.eu/it
In the second phase they propose an idea for a digital service.
In the 3rd phase they rate the proposed ideas in a 1 to 5 scale.
Prizes will be awarded for participating (such as a USB pen driver) and there will be a final substantial prize (such as a bike). The prizes will be awarded in relevant contexts such as the Christmas market, and the final prize will be awarded in April 2018.
Ideas will be judged by their relevance, innovation, and practicability, and those considered most interesting can be developed in a future hackathon/crowds-lab activity.
