On September 4th QROWD participated as a panelist in the workshop on IoT Open Data Access to advance mobility in European cities, organized by the EC, ERTICO and AIOTI in Brussels.
Mr. Pearse O’Donohue, DG Connect Director for Future Networks, delivered the keynote speech, setting the ground for an active discussion among the workshop participants. The IoT perspectives for smart mobility were then deployed, and the data lock-in challenges were set by Open and Agile Smart Cities (OASC) and the Big Data Value association (BDVA).
QROWD contributed in the closing panel, which was devoted to the “Industrial drivers and needs for an Open Data Access platform for mobility”.
In the closing speech, the organizers highlighted the constructive atmosphere of the event, and the actionable recommendations generated by the interaction of the diverse stakeholders participating at the Workshop. Participants were encouraged to participate in the follow-up activities, to be announced in the incoming weeks.
