TSCW18 – Trento Smart City Week 2018 – was organized by the Municipality of Trento in collaboration with other local institutional partners to disseminate information about Trento as a Smart City: smart solutions, smart citizens, smart land and smart people.
Being one of the innovation projects in Trento financed by the EC, the QROWD project fits perfectly in this context, and therefore a specific slot was dedicated to presenting one of the first concrete solutions of the project: the QROWD mobility dashboard.
The QROWD mobility dashboard, developed by our partner ATOS, is a perfect example of integration of mobility data of diverse nature (static, RT) and from diverse sources (open data, private data, crowdsourced data).
On this occasion, a digital questionnaire was circulated to gather feedback about the dashboard. Results are encouraging: 100% of the respondents find the dashboard useful, with particular reference to data concerning bikes (bike lanes, bike racks, bike sharing stations) and car parking spots. Realistic suggestions have also been made, namely aimed at improving the UI of the dashboard.
On the third day of TSCW18, participants in the QROWD ideas competition (which ran from August 2017 to February 2018) were awarded technological prizes as recognition for their active participation. They also participated in a lottery which resulted in one citizen being awarded a brand new smartphone.
Finally, TSCW18 offered the opportunity to continue live recruiting for the QROWDLab (which ran from 9 to 20 April), the first test of the i-Log app to collect data concerning citizens’ movements in Trento directly from their smartphones.
